Context. In recent years, a new generation of large-scale imaging surveys have probed wide field regions for the first time around some nearby galaxies in an unprecedentedly low surface-brightness regime (∼28.0−29.0 mag arcsec −2 ). This provides chance to discover very faint dwarf satellites by means systematic visual inspection these public deep images. Aims. this paper, we report results survey spheroidal vicinity bright late-type spiral galaxy NGC 253 images taken Dark Energy Survey. Methods. We performed satellite search using co-added image cutouts reprocessed DESI Legacy surveys. used GALFIT software investigate photometric and structural properties three galaxies. Results. discovery brightest member Sculptor filament, 253, located at distance 3.7 Mpc towards Anti-Virgo. name them Do II, III, IV. Assuming they are companions their total absolute V -magnitudes fall −7 −9 range, which is typical local Universe. The central surface brightness tends be extremely all discovered dwarfs falls roughly range 25−26 g -band. Using known data on distances velocities galaxies, estimate virial mass group 8 × 10 11 M ⊙ , gives radius R 200 = 186 kpc turn-around 706 kpc. also discuss possible existence spatially flattened velocity-correlated system 253. structure orientated almost edge-on line sight. plane only 31 thick with minor-to-major axis ratio 0.14. Four out five measured follow common velocity trend similar those observed planes Andromeda Centaurus A However, small number prevents us from reaching definitive conclusion about formation scenario its relation surrounding cosmic web.
